I played here on 1/3 and it was in good condition. Played yesterday and what a disappointment. Fairways are bare and greens were terrible.
Not worth playing for a while.

Played Palmer, Riley to Cherry on Monday, 1/22. It was in the worst shape that I have ever seen in my 18 years here. To have to pay these prices for courses in such bad shape is robbery.

Should give you a $25 discount for bringing your own cart, instead of them providing one for you like nearly every other course outside The Villages.

Can't disagree but do not have 18 years experience. Laurel was in good shape. Unfortunately that 9 has several areas (like the 3rd hole) where a lot of drives end up in the same area and there are way too many repaired areas(yes people fixed the divots). On bright side in S. Florida very few public courses and the munis are charging $125+++.

I posted similar comments re: Palmer a few weeks ago. Having better luck at Glenview, Cane, Mallory and Havana

What is the point in aerating the greens 3 times in the summer if this is the result? Those of us that live and play here full time have to dodge the constant aeration all summer, and seldom play on fully healed greens. Then in the dead of winter, many of the courses have greens that are unplayable anyway. Evans Prairie, and Havana are two courses that now are essentially unplayable. I have guests coming next week and will take them off site rather than play here. The Villages should go back to over-seeding in the winter to make courses better looking and more enjoyable.

Played Riley to Cherry today (1/30/24).

If this was a public course, anywhere else in Florida, it would be $29 to play. The course is in atrocious condition. No grass on any of the Greens, just green paint on the mud.

Laurel isn't as bad, because it's barely 6 months old, but Riley Grove is awful. I'm not sure how that's even possible, considering it's only been back online for less than a year, since it was "re-built".

Default Evans Prairie Golf Course Conditons

Evans Prairie is in horrible shape. My group of 30+ players on Feb 3rd. We will not play there again until there is grass on the greens. The Villages needs to go back to overseeding.
