Belle glade condition
Our group played belle glade Seminole to calusa ,1,20,2022…a cow pasture would put this course to shame, what little grass there is on the fairway is either weeds or green pigment, the greens looked like a herd of cows walked across them, who ever is in charge here should get out of the office and take a ride on the course, more craters and bare spots than the Ho Chi Minh trail…disgusting,to charge $50 to play,,,deplorable an insult to the bottom of your shoes…

The Village courses do not overseed their bermuda fairways. Bermuda is dormant until nightttemps are above 70 degrees. So, if you find a cow-pasture you like see what the farmer charges and let us know.

Belle Glade conditions
Played there same day as OP. Conditions weren't all that bad, just typical for this time a year. I will say the bunkers were more tracked up than usual. Which reminds me to point out wearing rubber-soled shoes is no excuse for not raking.
Oh, in one bunker I saw hoof prints. Cloven hoof prints! Either a feral hog ran through, or perhaps it was the devil. That would explain a lot. |

Yeah, that was kind of a bummer, but then again I suppose the developer is running on low financially.

I will post this AGAIN.
This was deleted. Why, Why, Why??? Posted Yesterday: Just played Belle today. Played a different rotation. Except for one green (which they are working on) the course was in good shape. Do I wish there was more grass, deeper roughs......of course, but it's TV. Looked for cow tracks................did not see any. The OP has no credibility with me.

I've lived in Tampa for 30 years and played lots of courses in FL. Even private clubs there have issues this time of year. Do you follow the local rule of 90 degrees with your cart? I'm guessing the answer is no. My wife and I play 18 at least twice a week and I observe the large majority of players driving down the middle of the fairway. Also, lots of rounds played and it's hard to tell where the rough starts - I get it. These are our courses, try to stay off the fairway and keep you cart on the path by the greens. Yes, often it's like playing off boiler plate. Move the ball back a bit in your stance is what I have learned. I'm more upset about the wave versus greens fees. Multiple times there are long, long delays after the turn. They need to cut out a couple of tee times. At these rates, this should corrected without question. Now, don't get me started with dragging feet on the greens, divots not filled and all the ball marks that are not repaired. I have found the best way to deal with all of this is to bring a little something to sip on....and enjoy the day!

Played Calusa/Taquesta yesterday expecting terrible conditions after reading the OP. I was pleasantly surprised that I saw little to none of what was described.

Just played Glenview and Lopez and I was surprised that the fairways were in pretty good shape. Both courses had very nice true rolling greens with nice speed.

Same experience for me playing Lopez, Cane, Palmer, and Tierra over the last two weeks. Some of the best conditions I can ever remember playing in the Villages during January.
