Could be because they mow it to the dirt.

My unprofessional opinion................after they plugged it, they did not water enough.

Burnt, Burnt, Burnt.

Hope it comes back.

Same at Silver Lake and Hilltop where I often go to practice. When they do something to the greens, they come back worse than they were and are as bad now as any time in my seven years here. I appreciate the effort and hope they figure it out.

They verticut and sanded them. Pretty routine stuff. Played there tuesday when it had just been done. They’ll be fine in a week or so. Punching, verticutting, sanding etc. is all part of what it takes to keep a course’s greens in good shape.

Yes, routine process.
Happens every year.

The condition after is not routine.
Lacking the additional watering which should happen after.
Many burnt spots.
Some spots, they are replacing the sodd.

Avoid.

Very disappointing today.

Remove from rotation.

They weren't much better yesterday ! 7-12-24. Not sure why they don't roll them more than once after punching the greens. It basically gets down to not caring what we full timers like. Airifying greens 3 times in the summer wouldn't be quite so bad if they would take care of them afterwards. They seem to be able to do it on the NORTH courses! Get ready , scheduled to punch again 7-31-24 -
