Default Hacienda Hills

Played Hacienda Hills 9/18 and 9/16. Have been critical in the past about this GC. Course is in great shape. Would give it a 9 out of 10 but greens were a little bumpy(recent aerification) Healthy grass in fairways and very few weeds in around greens. Played Bonifay last week, one section of one fairway was over 50% weeds and around greens saw more weeds than grass.

In the back of my mind(and have no proof) wonder if the developer is spending more money at Hacienda in order to sell the townhomes.

I haven't been in TV for a few months, but I always thought Hacienda Hills had the higher budget of any other Championship course ... for Green Paint.

Hacienda Hills, like nearly all of the championship courses I've played this year, is looking good because of all the rain we had through the hottest months. In fact, I think due to wet conditions and the difficulty mowing in such areas, fairways and rough are a bit lush. I've seen tee boxes on some courses with grass so high that the golf ball on a tee looks like it is sitting on the grass. A much better challenge than trying to deal with burnt greens and fairways. I said some unkind words under my breath putting on punched greens this year, but I knew that the end result would be worth it later in the year. Just in time for the snowbirds.

Not now(green paint) and can't disagree with you. That has been the fact for at least the past 3 winters.

I play Bonifay often, I am surprised how, dramatically the conditions at Bonifay change and how they change among the 9s; within days or weeks.
