Default Tierra del Sol - February 1st

Played Tierra today and conditions were very nice. TDS have some of the best greens in the Villages . Today greens were very healthy although they had not been cut today. Greens rolled true but we’re not as fast as expected … but still plenty fast.

Fairways were dry with good roll, and rough was cut and very consistent.

Enjoy

Disagree. Played Sunday and was very disappointed. The greens were very nice but the overall course conditions were poor. The fairways were not in good shape and were usually like hitting off hardpan.

Will wait to play it again.

Played there yesterday (2/5). Generally in good shape, but the greens were fairly slow (compared to what they usually are). They rolled OK, but it appeared that they hadn't been mowed.

Winter/summer is night and day for TV golf. Bet they do not cut rough in winter and do not have to since the cold spell a week ago. Summer time, TV needs to have a local rule that a ball lost in the rough should not be a true lost ball penalty(stroke and distance)

Greens there are some of the fastest(and best) in TV

I played TDS 3 times this week.

IMO, the course is in the best condition of any course in TV and comparable to many private clubs.

(& shot 72 from Blues on Tuesday at TDS, so I have a little experience with golf courses)

Not even close except for the greens.

Normally, I would agree - but when I played Wednesday the greens were very slow. Lopez and Glenview both had much faster greens. I hope it was a one day thing.

I disagree on a rule for a ball lost in rough. The rough here is never bad enough to have a rule like that.

I played there yesterday (2-18) and it was in really nice shape. The putting green was wicked fast but luckily the greens on the course were not quite that fast but still quick. Very nice course with outstanding conditions.
