Default Southern Oaks….

Greens have been veri-cut and top dressed with small pea-gravel….not good putting surface…..6/30….Why can't we use good smooth sand once in a while?

Are you sure about that?

I've been around the golf business for a long time and I've never heard of or seen such a thing.

It looks like the attached?

I played on 6/28 and the greens were pretty bad. The top dressing didn’t bother me as much as the botched verticut. I’ve never seen a verticut done that randomly lifted rows of turf the way it was that day. Perhaps they normally roll them after and just hadn’t gotten around to it?
