Are you an opera fan? Do you like good music? Are you interested in promoting and nurturing the love of good music in graduating high school seniors, to whom we offer scholarships?

The Opera Club of The Villages meets on the first Thursday of the month (from September through May) at 7 p.m. at the Laurel Manor Recreation Center. All Villagers are welcome to join. After a brief business meeting we have entertainment (usually live) with refreshments to follow.

One of the main objectives of the club is the Harold S. Schwartz Music Scholarship Program, which annually awards scholarships ranging from $2,500 to $8,000 to high school seniors from the tri-county area who are planning to pursue music education in college.
