Cool How Much $$$ To Compete as Bass Pro

Come join us the 2nd Tue of Sep thru May at 7 PM at Lake Miona Rec Center for what's what in the freshwater fishing industry. Speakers are local, professional anglers, biologists, marina owners.....Our next meeting is Dec 10th. Doors open at 6:30. You must be a Village resident or a registered guest with Village ID. Membership dues are $5 annually.

$45K just to enter one tournament!!!! Wow. Better have deep pockets or good sponsors which are not easy to find in this economy. One thing to ask the Pro's is how much stuff are they given for free?

Drag racing is the same way. They say how do you make a million in drag racing is to start out with 2 million. Even for the little guy the entry fees are out of hand. Recently NHRA started charging an insurance fee for every driver for every national event. I think they have raised that rate a couple of times since it started. Many people just stopped going to their national events because of costs to participate. NHRA's TV ratings have dropped for the third straight year and that is not good for trying to get a sponsorship.
