Default Levels For Cycling....?

Does anyone know the required miles per hour for the different levels in the bicycling clubs in the villages? I recently started to get serious when riding.I'm now able to average 16 mph on a 25 mile ride. Any info would be appreciated.

Bosoxfan, check the Thursday Recreation Guide in the newspaper. I remember reading that the cycling club had different groups, depending on your speed and endurance. The Rec Guide should have the name of someone you could call for more information.

Usually in the area of 17-20 for the A group. Just depends on who is riding. If you can hold 16 for the 25 miles then you are just fine. There are other groups that ride, we ride on Thursday nights. The top group usually rides try to average 21-23 mph. There are sprints and sometimes the rides get faster, there are B-group riders also.
