Those of you that attended our March 3rd meeting at Eisenhower Recreation ctr know we were all overwhelmed with the response by over 300 Long Islanders appearing at Eisenhower Rec Center, we reached capacity of the room but some quick thinking and we requested another room for the overflow so it worked out for the most part with the great help of the Eisenhower staff.
During that meeting we had several people come forward offering their help to get this club to grow in the right direction. Yesterday we had a leadership meeting and resolved some issues as to how we may better accommodate this fast growing group in the future.

We need a larger meeting room, we applied the next day March 4th but were declined by the Rec center coordinator saying that this response was a fluke let’s see what happens in the future, I suppose being a LI’er not taking no for an answer we requested a second room which was approved.
We intend to pursue the larger room which can accommodate 400.

Upcoming Events

April 7th at Eisenhower - Casino Nite in the General Arnold & General MacArthur rooms starting at 6:30 tickets $7 pic Enjoy a fun nite playing Black Jack, 7 card stud ,Texas Hold Em Roulette or a Fun dice game for non gamblers.


In the Admiral Nimitz and Admiral King rooms a meet & greet at 6:00 followed by Wally the magician, at 7:30 there will be no charge to paid members.



A 50/50 drawing to follow, BYOB, coffee & ice water will be provided.

Looking ahead in May, on the 5th we booked a great comedian “The Godfather” buy your tickets early for this event.

In an effort to curtail lines at the door to join & purchase club badges ($3) and event tickets we will have volunteers at the Eisenhower Rec at the following; this Thursday 2-3PM, Friday 12-1PM Saturday 9-11AM(coming or going to Brownwood Market?), Tuesday 18th 11-12 and Thursday 3-4PM.

In the alternative you can mail in the forms from our website; Membership event tickets & badges.

We had many suggestions from the meeting and want more, we want to do what you folks like to do, this Club belongs to all us to make what we all want it to be!

Therefore, there will be a suggestion box at all meetings or you can email us your ideas for activities & events to LIClubTheVillages@Gmail.com I will post some of those suggestions on the web site for all to consider.

I had a little time to build a basic web site for us, please take a look LIClubTheVillages.com there is a membership form and a ticket & badge purchase form to print & mail if you can’t make it over to Eisenhower in the next few days.
