Default Motor Scooter Club

There was a post about starting a scooter club some time last year. Time for another try. Step one is to gauge the interest, so just reply to this post and that'll get us rolling.
For those of you who ask "What would a scooter club do?" Here are some possibilities:
Group rides, possibly by engine class. Members would find a destination and schedule a ride.
Modification group. Show what you did to enhance your scooter.
Scooter treasure/scavenger hunts.
Scooter rodeo. (NO speed events) Events like coming off a ramp and seeing who can coast the furthest. Skill riding through cones.
Meetings could include guest speakers on safety or other aspects of riding.
There's always the picnics and other standard fare for groups.
In your post you could include whether or not you'd be able to lead the group or help set up events or even ideas of what a club could do.
LET'S GET STARTED!

My husband and I both have scooters. We have wondered why there is no scooter club as we love ours. Not that we recommend this for a group ride, but last December, we rode ours (110cc and 250cc) to St. Augustine, stayed for two nights and rode back. We used only back roads through the Ocala National forrest and came back over the St. John's River across the the Fort Gates Ferry. Great fun!

I belonged to "The Villages" scooter club for several years. Didn't realize they are no longer intact. They use to meet Saturday mornings at Panara's before the ride.

Cushman Eagles are always on ebay or any state Cushman club also on Craigs list. A lot of people have changed out the Cushman 8 hp to a v twin vanguard. The are wonderful but they are not a true cushion….

Hi I now live in the Villages and interested in a scooter club. I belonged to the Cushman club of America for about 15 years and lived in Texas. Tell me what luck you have had on starting a club. I can meet for coffee any time to discuss a group….

I just purchased a Moskito 50cc scoot. It needs brake work and I need a mechanic . Any suggestions.

I saw someone on a Chshman Eagle Scooter about 1960 In Sumpter landing about 3 weeks ago. It was bright yellow, it had a Vanguard motor. I was unable to catch him. Does anyone know who it was?? Let me know…..
