Default Nintendo Wii club

Does anyone know if the Nintendo Wii club ever got off the ground? I called the number for the survey but never got a return call and I don't have the number anymore.

Default If I Find Out There's A Villages Wii Club, I'll Buy...

...even more Nintendo stock.

In late 2006, I sat and listened to my oldest grandson gush for about an hour about the Wii. It had just been introduced and I knew he was getting one for Christmas. Then I happened on some sort of technology program on cable TV where six kids were trying out the three new games being introduced that Christmas season (the Wii, the X-Box and the GameBoy, as I recall). After an hour of demonstrating them , the show host asked the six kids to select their favorite. Result: Wii = 6, the others = zero.

Hmmm, I thought. Was this an investment opportunity awaiting? I called my broker/guru and he observed that the market had not begun to bid Nintendo up on the news of their great new game. I bought some. The result has been that my late 2006 investment is now worth well more than double what I paid for it! In fact, it's better than that, as I sold and took profits when I was "up" 258% and then bought back in when the stock dropped about 30% a couple of months ago. Since then, it's up more than 20% again--in only a couple of months! (I wish I was that smart with all my other stocks!)

So...if I hear that us old folks are going to start buying Wii's and all the games that go with them, I'm going to double up on Nintendo. I'd expect that there'll be more "gushing" during rec center meetings about the great Wii product!

I have the Wii and absolutely love it. There was a demo at the outdoor expo and I know there had been a meeting at one of the rec centers. There was a phone number in the Thursday paper insert but I don't have it anymore. Maybe it will appear tomorrow or I can call Hacienda - they have all the numbers for new clubs wanting to form. I am waiting for WiiFit to come out in May - that looks like good exercise. I've watched the demo on it. I have a deep sea diving game I am playing now. I also like sports.

Our newspaper had an article about a local assisted living facility that purchased a Wii system for the residents. Initially, the residents didn't want anything to do with the "video games". Now, a few months later, they have to schedule use of it, and they still have folks lining up to play every day. I think I remember the article said that bowling was the most popular game with the residents. You might want to double up on that Nintendo stock, Kahuna!
