My husband and I are renting in TV for 3 mos this winter and would like to know if there are any folks who belong to the Polish Club. I looked on the site that gives the names of all the clubs,howeve there is just a phone # no email address.
We are Canadians also and would like to join the Canadian club also but there is an email for them .Thanks

Don't know whether you'll be in TV on November 22 but if you are, my friend who has published a Polish cookbook will be in TV for book signing. He was there early part of the year but returning again. There is definitely a Polish Club as he was helped by them. I think his previous book signing was at Barnes & Noble but I don't know this time.

......go to........ www.virginiatrace.com/ .....on left side CLICK ON .."CLUBS"...there on 86 pages of clubs IN THE VILLAGES the Polish clubs are on page 63... www.virginiatrace.com/ has INFO on EVERYTHING regarding The Villages....AND.. a whole lot more.............................................. ...............The POLISH AMERICAN Club contact is Joanne Howard.....352-391-5346...They meet on 4th TUESDAY @ 6:30 pm at the PARADISE REC Center.....AND......The POLKA LOVERS' Dance Club contact is Janet Kordesh.....352-750-4900......They meet on 1st MONDAY at 6pm at The SAVANNAH Center......(both have NO meetings in June ..July..or..August)...SORRY there are no websites listed for these clubs........JUST SHOW UP when you get here......You will be WELCOMED with open arms.........You WILL need The Villages I.D Card to enter the Paradise or Savannah Club Meetings....available at the Sales Office at Lake Sumter Landing.....Just show your rental contract to purchase the I.D. Cards ....TWO cards for $50.

Polish Club meeting for book signing/Polish Pot Luck will be held on November 22nd at 6:30 p.m. Paradise Rec Center. Membership is $5 a year. If you are interested, there is a meeting on October 25th when they will announce about the book signing. The only reason I know about this event is because I am friends with the authors who published the book. We bought few copies and as they tell it, the recipes are all Polish grandma recipes never published before. Tasted a few recipes and they are very good.

I saw an ad in the Daily Sun recently that St Mark's Catholic Church on CR 42 (north boundary of TV) is having services in Polish later this month (maybe it was today) and late in November. If you are Catholic you might want to check that out.
