HEAR YE! HEAR YE! Puc Puggy Chapter NSDAR Celebrates
Constitution Week September 17-23!

The Puc Puggy Chapter NSDAR is asking everyone to help commemorate the 236th anniversary of the signing of the U.S. Constitution at one of the following activities:

“Bells Across America” program on Sept. 17, 2023, 3:30 p.m. at Lake Sumter Landing Market Square picnic table area. There will be a short speech giving historic background of the event by our Regent Sylvia Walden followed by 15 minutes of patriotic music by The Village Ringers, the traditional “Ringing of the Bells” at 4:00 p.m. as was done in Colonial times, reading of the Preamble to the Constitution, and closing prayer by George Washington. For residents of the Marion County area, a similar program is to be held at The Congregational Church, US 301 N, Summerfield, in association with the Ocala Chapter NSDAR.

During the week there will be a Constitution Week display table at Lady Lake Public Library, 225 W. Guava St., Lady Lake, from Sept 18-22. Also, a Constitution Week Program will be presented for Toddlers (3–5-year-olds) at the library Sept. 20 at 10 a.m. The following day, Sept. 21, there will be age appropriate presentations at 10:30 a.m. for Home Schoolers and 3:30 p.m. during the library’s After School program.
