My neighbor is starting a new club and has asked me to pass the information on. If you are interested (or know of someone who might be interested) in joining the American Red Cross Club, here is the information from his flyer:

"Introducing a New Club to the Villages

Date: Thursday, August 23
Location: Lake Miona Recreation Center
Time: 10AM - 11AM

The inaugural meeting of the American Red Cross Club of the Villages will feature guest speaker Karen Hagan, Chief Executive Officer of the Mid-Florida Region. Karen will share her passion about the Red Cross mission.

The American Red Cross Club welcomes all interested in learning more about what we do in your community on a daily basis as well as in response to a national disaster. The American Red Cross prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors."

This is a great idea for a club. There are so many to choose from. We hope to see you there. Its great to be informed as well as being aware and able to help if a disaster strikes.
