Default Adding RAM to my Laptop

I thought I would share this with you TOTVers. I have a two year old Gateway laptop that has been giving me fits. Lots of freezes requiring a hard shutdown, which I thought might be fixed by buying a good registry repair program - but that didn't help much at all. My computer had less than 1GB of RAM, so on Sunday I broke down and went to Best Buy and bought 2GB of RAM for $50.00, which I installed in about fifteen minutes. What a difference. My computer is now quick and responsive, and I haven't had a freeze up since. A quich and inexpensive fix for a bedeviling computer problem.

Go to tigerdirect.com and you can get RAM very cheap for most computers. Usually arond $10 or $12 a GB They have a configuration selection process to make sure you get the right RAM. I always take mine to the maximum and it always makes a huge performance difference.

I knew I was paying a premium for the RAM at Bet Buy, but I just ran out of patience with my machine and it was worth the extra money - but next time I'll buy it on line and save (more than) a few dollars.
