Exclamation Attention Internet Explorer Users

A major security flaw has been discovered in Microsoft Internet Explorer versions 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 that will allow hackers to remotely control your computer. Microsoft has addressed this problem and is distributing a patch starting Tuesday. Everyone using IE will want to make sure that they get this patch installed. Here is a link for more information.

Haven't used MSIE for years - too many problems. But it's good of you to post the warning.

Thanks for the post.

Even those that do not use IE on a regular basis will find that the alternative Browsers are also buggy in their own way. Just this morning, I had to switch from Chrome to IE in order to process an online order.

One you go Mac, you never go back folks.

I moved my 83 y/o father over to a mac 5+ years ago. He says with regards to computers it is the best thing I ever had him do. I went from having to go fix his PC every couple of weeks to phone calls every now and then, not because it doesn't work, but because he wants to know how to do something new or different.

No real issues with security on a Mac. Sure there may be one or two, but I have never come across them in 10 years of owning a Mac. Compared to the thousandes of PC security flaws and vulnerabilities out there. I'll go with a Mac. No spyware software, no anti-virus programs, no defraging needed. It just works. That's all I can say, it just works.

The reason Mac wasn't hacked was their market share was too low and they were not used in businesses. They are actually really easy to hack. This used to be my job.

As an earlier poster recommended - go with Chrome as your browser.

Another very satisfied Chrome user here - I would never consider downgrading to IE.
