does anyone in our area use virgin mobile broadband to go for their websurfing? if, so - how is the connection? thanx

I also have it.... We used it in our home, before the internet got connected. Worked pretty well in St. Charles.

Now, we use it extensively, when we travel. It uses the Sprint 3G network, so anywhere you can get a Sprint signal, it works!

Price is right.... pay-as-you-go and only for the months you need it. They have implemented a 5GB limit recently. However, once you reach 5GB, they simply throttle back the speed to something less than 3G.

You might want to check into T-Mobile or Verizon 4G [or LTE] devices. They might be a little more expensive, but the 4G speed might be worth it.

Default Verizon

Used the 3G from my Droid as a Hot SPot while visiting. Worked OK but slow compared to wireless.
