Default Casio G'zOne Commando 4G cell phone

I went to the Verizon store and told the salesman that I need a guy proof smart cell phone. You know, that I can sit on, drop a few times, wash the beach sand off and talk in the rain. Not much to ask. He said this is really the only phone for guys like this.
So is it a safe bet this phone will serve me well and last 2 years?

For the most part, you get what you pay for. Read and watch this review:

Casio G'zOne Commando 4G LTE Review - Watch CNET's Video Review

You can get a good phone; iPhone or several good Android phones and get a waterproof case.

Good Luck with your search....

I have a Casio G'zOne Commando 4G cellphone and it works great for me. I'm on my second Casio Commando, my first being a 3G which I had for a couple of years. The first one I dropped at the Clearwater aquarium and it bounced on the concrete floor I was standing on, went over the side and bounced on the concrete one floor below, again bounced over the side and came to rest on the concrete floor one more level down. I got the phone back and it had a small scuff mark on one corner. It worked perfectly until I grew tired of waiting for 3G and upgraded to the 4G model when it came out last year. For me, someone who is obviously rough on phones and spend a great deal of time outdoors in all sorts of weather, it works great. It's a little on the thick and heavy side but I don't even notice that. Perhaps the pictures aren't the greatest but they're fine for me. The camera on the new phone is much better than on the previous Casio Commando and the new one has a front and rear facing camera. I really like my Casio.

Sounds like the phone for me! I was just reading a thread where someone dropped their phone and needs repair. That would be me in the 1st week!
