Default Using iCloud for back up?

I currently use icloud to back up my Apple devices. My iphone and ipad stay up to date with each other for calendar, photos and memos.

Can one also include a non apple device like a desk top for the same results?

Just install iCloud on your PC. My calendar, notes and contacts stay in synch. I think you have to use iTunes for photos, I have not done photos yet.

Couldn't have said it better myself.... although this strategy isn't as simple when it comes to an android phone or windows phone! LoL

Default Not fond of iCloud

I also have iCloud. It keeps saying I need more storage and that it cannot backup. I refuse to buy more storage. I also have to set up some sort of an account in order to transfer pictures from my iPhone to my email and haven't done that either. Before I had iCloud, my pictures went to my email account just fine. I'm not so savvy with this kind of stuff so for me I'm not liking iCloud.
