Default Comcast bot alert

Has anyone had a problem with a pop-up from Comcast that says Constant Guard Alert - bot detected. This happened when I clicked on the Firefox browser. The pop-up is fairly large and conceals part of the screen. I did not click on the button that says take action now. This happened on my computer and my husband's this morning. I called Comcast and they said they were aware of it and that I could download Norton at no charge if I called their bot assistance center. I called that center and they said to call Comcast. Big help! We have Microsoft Essentials and Malware Bytes on the computers. This happened just as I was leaving for the airport. My plan is to download the latest Malware Bytes and run in safe mode I get home. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

I did a search on google and it seems that many other people have experienced this also. You can read about it on Google.
