Default Computer Service Recommendations?

Greetings:

I have a desktop HP Envy H9 running Windows 10. I went to boot up the computer this morning and got an error message indicating that the computer did not shutdown properly. I have tried booting up in safe mode, resetting the computer (saving the files-did not want to do a total wipe and lose everything if I can avoid it) which the computer indicated it could not do, as well as attempted to re-install Windows from a thumbdrive. I am now beyond the scope of what I believe I can do and need more professional assistance. I am looking for recommendations for computer service-does anyone have any out there that they can share?

Thanks in advance for any recommendations.

Try contacting the villages computer club, they have several experts, that are either free or very low cost. If they cannot help, then they would be in a good position to make recommendations.

I've found it an uphill battle, but I'll continue to promote the Chromebook.

If what you use your computer for is to be online (banking, email, Facebook, Twitter, etc.) which 99.9% of us do, why not use a device that is secure, safe just plain works!

With a Chromebook you never need virus/malware protection, you never have to wait for an update to download and/or install.
Need spreadsheets and documents?, it has "Calc", and "Docs", Google's version of Excel and Word, need other software, Google is adding new apps all the time to run on newer Chromebooks.

Even if you still "need" a Windows PC/Laptop, only use it when you really have to and use the Chromebook the rest of the time, like I do.

When ever the Villages Computer Clubs have a workshop, I have a table there showing off the Chromebook, come see it next time.

(Google Connected Villages and look at the schedule/meetings and then go to the other clubs links and look at those).

Jacob's Computer on 301 hands down. Been in The Villages 7 years and used him and recommended him to many. The best and the best price.
