Is there any reason other than sentimental (?) to keep this machine?

Sounds like a great gravity enhancing device to keep a door open. Get your data off of it, destroy the hard drive, and wait for the next hazardous waste disposal, or possibly see if Best Buy will take it off your hands. MHO.
