I have shared lots of pictures and photos on my Facebook page and they were always stored on my timeline and now they are gone, what happened? I am totally bummed...is there anyway to get them back.

Go to your photos and click on timeline or wall photos. They shouldn't have gone anywhere.

it's Facebook. They are always changing things around. Pretty much on a weekly basis. If you want to know then perhaps getting straight from the horses mouth might be an option....ask Facebook...their help is pretty straight forward.
