I have a site in my browser history that I want to delete and have tried to delete History and Cookies all to no avail. The site continues to show in the drop down history. Any suggestions to remove. Also, even though there is the little red x, which i've attempted to use it did me no good.

I also have a Google search engine on my home page which I am trying to delete, any suggestions.

In Internet Explorer go to "Tools", "Internet Options". On the General tab you will see options to delete history and search engines. I'm not sure why you want to get rid of the Google search engine option? For my money it is the best one out there. Maybe I am confused as to where the "Google search engine" is on your home page? Is it the search box in the upper right hand corner? Or, do you have a whole Google tool bar that you want to get rid of? If that is the case, just click on "View", "Toolbars" and you will see a list of toolbars. Some will be checked and some may be unchecked. Uncheck the Google toolbar if you no longer want it. You can always go back later and check it if you miss it! Good luck.

Had previously tried your suggestions but, they did not work. I want to drop a specific history item, and will drop all if necessary. But deleting history, in and of itself did not help.

The Google search is located about 1/4 down the middle of my opening page
and try as I might I was unable to delete it. The Google search in the upper right corner is not the problem. Thanks for your response.

Try clicking the drop down link on your address bar. Scroll down to the item you wish to remove and click your keyboard "delete" button. This works on my system.

The history item you should be able to right click on it and delete it. To remove google task bar go to start, control panel, add and remove programs, select google taskl bar and select remove.
