Default Old Computer Equip - E-Waste

I have recently upgraded my computer and now have my old 17" monitor, keyboard, and laptop docking station - all which still work - that I would like to get rid of. The monitor is a big heavy old Dell - not one of the flat screens. Everything works fine, I just don't need it anymore. If anyone knows of a place that I could donate this to please let me know, I don't believe any of this can go out with the regular trash. Where I used to live they had e-waste days at the recyling center where you could take old electronics - do they have anything like that down here?

not sure about FL but here in MI, Goodwill will take and if they can't sell... have people who will disasemble it and sell certain parts back to Dell.

There's a notice in the Daily Sun yesterday (Section A) about an Environmental Expo on Saturday, Oct. 24 at Lake Miona Regional Rec Center from 10:00 to 4:00 p.m. They say you can recycle your computer, keyboard, mouse, speakers, etc. there (no printers). Might be a convenient way to unload your electronics.

At one time TV Computer Club was accepting old computers and refurbishing them to give to needy charities in the area. You may want to check with then.

Also if in Lake County you can take it to the transfer station down Rolling Acres road, and they have a bin for electronics. Not sure about Marion, or Sumter counties.
