Bill.... those 2 additional segments to Lowes and Walmart should be "live" on Google Maps. Check and make sure I got them all.

I've mapped the golf cart bridge, but Google is holding up the approval process for some reason ????

I am at a loss here. I THINK the maps on iPad and iPhone are Google maps. They do not have an option for bicycle, so unable to see your good work. Am I missing something or do I need a special Google map App?

Try clicking "directions" and see if the bicycle appears!

Yep, those two segments are there. The only other thing I'd suggest perhaps adding is real short piece of cart path that leads right off of Paradise Dr. into that first parking lot - so people can see where to start from.

MEMASON, thank you for your time and energy in accomplishing an app that will be used by many TVers and TVers to be.

When I click on "directions" I have the choice of Auto, Bus or Pedestrian; no bike.

You said you're using iPhone. Is you iPhone OS and Google application up to date? The app did not include biking some time back but has been updated to include it since. If this information doesn't resolve your problem, then I don't have a clue where you go from here except to say use a pc and not the iPhone then print the map once you've positioned it where you want it.

Default thanks so much Mike

It occurred to me that if it is on google maps, could I access it on the computer and print it off for my husband? I don't have an iphone and my ipod touch need wifi so I am trying to see how I can get the marked trails.

Yes, you can print it from your pc. You might want to break it down to different select areas of TV and print a copy for each view. Might make it easier that way to view the trails zoomed in while on the paths!

Default Golf cart paths

So far, I have editing many cart paths and roads to have BICYCLE lanes. Unfortunately, Google Maps does not have a designation for Golf Cart, so I've used bicycle for routing. I am using Google Maps to make the changes.

Currently, if you go to Google Maps and turn on the bicycle layer, you will see many cart paths in green. Much of the work, for routing, included putting in all the cart tunnels and many multi-modal paths. Now it's just a matter of them all getting connected together. I have also coded streets that have cart lanes, such as St. Charles, Bailey Trail, Odell Cir. Del Mar, San Marino, etc. I have cart paths defined all over the Villages, from 466a all the way to Lopez, over to Spanish Springs via El Camino, etc.

Google uses a "trusted" reviewer process, so each of my map edits are reviewed before going live. Over the next few days, I expect most of the current paths to be approved and published to Google Maps. Many of the edits have already been approved and they are "live" in Google Maps.

Go try it out [via Google Maps on the Internet] and let me know what you think, so far. Be sure to use bicycle routing, if you try to get directions to someplace. Also, remember that the reviews are not completed, so you might get some bogus routing [combination of car paths and non-Cart-legal streets) for the moment.

I am still updating streets, but I'm also searching for an appropriate app (Android & iOS) to allow true GPS routing via cart paths, on your smartphone.

Stay tuned . . .
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!! TRISH

Went to the Sales Office with a friend today. When I asked about maps they gave me one (on one sheet of paper) with the Golf Cart Paths marked in red. I was surprised. (I know someone on here had one they shared last summer and I checked, this one is a little more updated)

memason they do not have the GC Bridge routed, but they do have it labeled as Golf Cart Bridge. Wonder if Google would be open to something like that?
I think it's great you have done this work - once again, great job!

Yes, the golf cart bridge [over 441/27] has been put into the system, but Google is really taking their time approving that feature. Hopefully, it will be available soon...
