Default Is it possible to transfer photos from iphone to PC without using itunes?

My wife and I have very many pix we would like to transfer to our computer.
I dislike doing much of anything with itunes because of the way it synchs it can wipe out anything on your iphone that is new since the last synch.
I suspect I am doing something wrong for that to happen.
But can one transfer photos without going through itunes?

Yes. Here's a link to 5 different ways to do it. Also when you are on the PC, check your syncing options....you can turn off syncing of pictures so that it doesn't erase your iphone pictures.

You can also email your photos from your phone to your email account, them open your email account from your PC and transfer that way, very easy, simple..

When you plug your phone into the computer you should get a pop up box asking you what you want to do (if iTunes doesn't start automatically). One of the choices should be "import pictures and video". Select that option and the computer should copy all photos to a new folder in your pictures folder with the date as the folder name.
Good luck

I have purchased software from a site : ImTOO DVD Ripper, Video Converter, DVD/AVI/MPEG/iPod/iPad Converter
I have all but stop using iTunes for anything except updates . There is a free download with limited amounts but is great to try it out. I did pay the additional to receive a disk u can put the software on 3 machines with the purchase. I don't work for them or get paid anything for this post. I do tons of pix a videos and it works great! This software let's u do everything u think u should be able to do with iTunes but are restricted ,, u can take from one iPad to another , put on the computer back and forth.

You may use Photo Gallery from Windows Lives on PC.
Or you may try to use iPhone Transfer to transfer them.
If you are using Mac, you can manually connect them via USB.
Or you can do it wirelessly on your iPhone by switch ON the Photo Stream under iCloud selection.
Also you can read the guide
How to Transfer Photos from iPhone to Computer

Yes, it is possible, but you can't copy the photos directly, then you should adop a third-party iOS data transfer tool like Tenorshare iPhone 5 Transfer.

But iTunes installed is required before you transfer iPhone photos to computer and don't worry, all the process are worked on the data transfer program.
