I can't find it.......
OK, so I'm a "techno-peasant". My last laptop was a Lenovo with Windows 10.
Whenever I had to type in my email address, as soon as I typed in the first letter, the rest of my email address would "auto-fill". My new laptop is an HP with windows 10, but it won't do "auto-fill". I've checked my settings, and there isn't anything I can see to fix this. Am I doing something wrong, or missing something? I'd like to auto-fill my email address, and name, address, phone# etc, when filling out forms on my laptop. Any ideas? Thanks........ |

I assume you've used the new computer enough that it has had time to learn your information for auto-fill.

be sure you are using the EDGE windows 10 browser for the internet, and it will ask you to save the usernames, etc every time. . .
also, learn to use google as there isn't an answer for any question that you will encounter that a solution isn't posted somewhere. . techno guy |

If you are using the Mail application, then the setting will be in the Settings/Preferences for Mail.
If you are using your web browser (Chrome, Explorer, Edge, Firefox, etc) then the setting is in the Preferences for that applications. All modern browsers offer the option to remember and autofill forms you have filled previously with basic information like email address, password, etc. |

I have used roboform for 20 years to fill in everything!
It memorizes ALL of your information and is very secure and encrypted either on your computer or in the cloud. Once I fill in the form with name address credit cards etc. It is a one button push to fill in long forms or passwords. I simply have one master password that I fill in each day at the beginning of my computer session, and it fills in everything after that.

There’s a lot of ways to accomplish this. You can use LastPass to auto fill, roboforms or even use your browser like edge or chrome. Since this is a new laptop it doesn’t have your info just yet. I bet, once you start using it for awhile that stiff will auto populate.

Replace it with a Chromebook or convert it to a Linux Mint PC, you won't regret it.

We need to know if you are using a email client or your web browser. I had that problem with Outlook.
