For the last couple of weeks I have an ad on TOTV for a political candidate here in Michigan. The ad is there every time I bring up TOTV.
I would run malwarebytes on my laptop but i don't know what to do on my iPad. Any help would be appreciated.

As for the ad, I'm assuming it's one of the banner ads that come up on TOTV. If that is the case, there isn't much you can do about it. Many of the ads that appear are remnants of items you have recently searched or read about on the iPad. In a few days, they will go away and be replaced by something more recent. Additionally, these types of ads are allowed by TOTV and many sites, since they generate revenue for the site, should you click on one of the ads. This is one of the ways in which TOTV can remain free for all of us to use. Hope this helps.... |

This will probably work, but might have some other unintended consequences... Since you are deleting all your cookies, those are used to communicate with your bank and other entities, so you might have to re-register your device to those services.

Marilyn, you must be using Google for Gmail or other purposes. Recommend you use Safari as much as possible.
Go to settings, privacy, advertising, and set the switch to limit ad tracking. Be well and I hope to see you soon. Marilyn a.k.a. Kitty |

Want to get rid of the ads when browsing message forums? Download Tapatalk and browse TOTV in that app. It's free and it's a great way to keep up with all the gossip. Just select Timeline and all posts will show up in order from most recent to oldest. They have a great search function too.
Trust me, you'll love it! |

So I have a question. I just got an iPad mini and it will be my first time relying on it for my everyday things. Does anyone feel comfortable doing their banking on her iPad mini. I so far I'm only using it for one of my emails and the talk of the villages and some minor things.

I have the larger size iPad and I feel a whole lot more secure banking on it than I do on my laptop. In fact, days go by when I never even power up the computer. I shop eBay, Amazon and other reputable online retailers, and purchase airline tickets, all from my iPad. I never use Wi-Fi unless it is in my own home or the home of a trusted family member or friend. I have the cellular version of the iPad and enjoy web browsing, emailing, and playing games while on long rides. You are going to love your new " mini computer"!

I've had my original model iPad for 3 1/2 years and have used it for my banking with Chase most of that time. Many of the banks have an app. For those that don't, you can access them via Safari. I use mine for web browsing every day, including TOTV. You will enjoy it. I would suggest that you put a pass code on the lock screen just in case it is lost or stolen.

My husband and I both have IPads and Mac laptops. and have never had a problem we do everything on both and are very confident in Apple security but we also added Trend Micro on laptops for added security.
