For about 5 days I have been having messages from ME in my "Junk" mail. I use Outlook for email. They all seem to be pushing insurance, cars, Viagra, loans, etc. All things in which I have no interest and certainly did not send to myself.
I have tried blocking them and just get a message that you can't block yourself. So, I simply delete them and move on, but they seem to be increasing in volume and frequency. I did a quick scan with Microsoft Security Essentials and "no threats are detected". Can anyone suggest how I fix this problem? Thanks much! |

you've been hacked, change your password and run Defender or a better antivirus program.

Faking email headers is a trivial thing to do. It is likely just spam sent from afar crafted with the TO address also used as the FROM address in an attempt to get you to think its harmless and trick you into clicking links therein. Just delete it.

Thanks for the information. This happened to me about 3 months ago and my computer guy said he installed something to prevent it from repeating. I have a call in for him as I'm obviously atarget for some kind of pests.
