we have a Dell computer we would like to donate but need help in how to erase all of out data. Who accepts computers for donation? thanks

The Villages Computer Club takes computes and refurbishes them and give them to seniors that cannot afford one. Try Mark Sheppard at 750-0040. He might be able to tell you how to clean the data off of your hard drive.

I use Sure-Delete which I found on the internet. It is a slow process but at its highest end it writes 0's over all of the data files before it deletes them. I then have to delete the folders. After you are done, you can use Sure-Delete to make several passes and it writes 0s over all non-used space. I do it five times. Takes quite a while but I feel better.
