My husband is the photographer in our family. Prior to moving to The Villages, we purchased a new desktop computer. The existing photos were transferred to the new computer by someone else who was not as familiar with Photoshop Elements as he should have been. We now have Elements 2026 and are having major difficulties downloading photos to appear in the proper location.
If there is anyone very familiar with this program, he would appreciate any help in solving this problem.

It's been years since I used that, but when moving to a new PC there are the actual photo files, and data files which define locations of folders, and the modifications made to each pic. You need that stuff unless you flattened the target pic, or exported it.
That's all I can recall now.

If someone does not provide a suitable answer, you should be able to contact the technical support for Photoshop to find out how to fix this problem. If by any chance you kept the old hard drive, I have some adapters that allow the hard drive to be connected to a USB port. This would allow the use of file explorer (or similar) to see where the old files were stored, and then on the new computer to move the files to the correct location.
Now it is possible the Photoshop is using its own indexing system to store and find the photos, in which case I am sure you will need to talk to technical support.
