If you have a disability or an ailment that prevents you from walking a lot, you can get a form at the starter shack to be filled out by your doctor and then you take it to the golf admin people and you can get a card which will allow you to ride on all of the par 3 holes and park near the green so that you can make the walk to the green and putt.

The people with these cards have a brightly colored identifier that they attach to their cart. They get it at the starter shack when they check in for their tee time. At the end of play, they have to return the identifier and get their card.

According to the paper today, for $5, these people will be able to get one of those brightly colored identifiers to keep for a year. This saves a lot of time returning the identifier and getting your card back - especially when there are a lot of people checking in.

Default In Addition

One of the reasons these are issued to persons with limitations is to speed up play as well. This helps to maintain the recommended pace-of-play for all courses.

My husband has a handicap card for his car. He took that to the golf office and received a reasonable access card for golf.
