Default Pros and Cons of using a guest account

A Guest account has no permissions. Anyone on your computer cannot install, look around or delete. No one sits at my computer. So I use my guest account all the time but go to the Administrator account for updates.

The Administrator account allows updates, installs and snooping around.

Yet I see a lot of advice, including advice that comes from HP directly to me instructing to improve my safety close down my Guest account. Can someone remotely connect to a guest account?
