What does that mean?
- Is a particular function in Settings grayed out and not working? - Is the wallpaper not doing something today that it did yesterday? - Did you change anything under the Parental Control section that may have disabled changing the wallpaper? - Did you try power off / power on (You probably have but adding it here just in case) I have an iphone 12 and would be happy to test things on mine.

It's not grayed out the page shows wallpaper I chose, when swipe to return to settings it's locked. I've turned on and off but when I hit the settings button, it shows wallpaper I chose.

I've gone into my settings and changed mine but can't make it be stuck.

Can you swipe up from the bottom and then force-quit the settings app? This apple page has some information on restarting but it seems like you aren't having problems with that.

Try resetting the device. You will not lose data.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds). |

I have the 13ProMax, you chsnge the wallpaper by going to Settings > Wallpaper, the hold down the screen.!you should see a variety of options to change your wallpaper. One of the options is the original screen. Just pick the one you want. |

Have the 14, and got locked out, same issues. We have T-Mobile, and made a stop at the store. Fixed it in a minute.

Coincidentally I changed the wallpaper on my phone and watch with a holiday theme yesterday. I had no problem at all. Try turning your phone off and then back on. If that doesn’t work call Apple. They are very helpful and don’t make you wait for hours to get to someone. Good luck.
