Default Slow Downloading from Talk of the Villages

Is it just me who is having a problem with very slow downloading of this web site. I'm thinking that maybe there are too many advertisers that also download at the same time. This seems to be something that is relatively new over the last few months. I am to the point of skipping the whole thing, it's too frustrating. On the other hand, maybe it's just my computer, what do you think?

Sometimes it is slow but I do not think it is a serious problem overall.

I agree with you. I have Comcast blast with a top shelf pc and it still takes a long time for this site to load. im sure its all the advertising loading up. im with you, this site isn't worth it! im all for advertiser revenue but enough is enough.

No problems here...but, I use tapatalk app on my iPad and windows 8 desktop, both newer and fast computers. Even using a browser on iPad or desktop is plenty fast. If your computer is more than 3-4 years old it is probably going to be slower than if you have a new computer or tablet. Anyway, not a systemic issue.

I don't seem to be having a problem either. Running TOTV on my iPad and Apple laptop. Do you notice slowness any particular time of the day or is it random?

Run with Ad Blocker+
Never see a pop up. No ads to slow you down.

We ran a google analysis and the site is free of malware and is loading within a reasonable timeframe. We have actually consolidated advertising and reduced the number of positions visible. Also the ads are loading off Google so if anything it makes for a faster load time vs. loading off the server.

Email us if we can assist you with the specific issue you are having.
