Default Smartphone price scanner app

I wanted to get a price scanner app for my smartphone but when reviewing, seems like the app would be pretty invasive with the amount of control it would have. Does anyone use a scanner app and are you concerned about big brother price scanner?

I had Att give me which app would give me more bang for my buck. You should be able to use your phone and it will give you detail of the app and the cost if any.

I use a free app for the iPhone called Red Laser. Seems to work well and provides prices for other retailers.

It is an android and the scanner was a free one. It wanted access to all my browsing, and my SD card and just seemed somewhat intrusive just to scan a bar code.

I also had an Android phone and most of the Android apps ask for that type of permissions... Don't blame you for being cautious...
