Hello all.
I own a home in The Plantation, but enjoy the Villages also.
I have both a G4 imac and a 12" G4 powerbook.....love my Macs...!!

Is there any Mac clubs in either TV or in the Lake county area?

I know there is an Apple store in Orlando, but I have never been there (yet)

There is a VERY active Mac computer club in TV. It is one of the few clubs that permits non-Villages resident members. (Therefore it has to pay rent on the rooms for its meetings.)

The VMUG (Villages Mac User Group) meets on the fourth Wednesday of each month at 7 PM at the Saddlebrook Rec Center. They also have a once a month Q&A meeting at 1:30 PM on the third Tuesday of each month, also at Saddlebrook.

Thank you so much for your quick and kind reply. I bookmarked the website. It is good to know there are some good Mac people close when we are down there.

Even though we bought our home in The Plantation, we like many things about TV, and I'm hoping that when we live down there full time, (in 3 years) we will get to know some friends from there.

I am currently a professional firefighter in western NY, and have 1050 more days to go (according to my dashboard widget!) before we can be full time Floridians. Until then, we are only down there a few months out of the year.

If you want even more, there is a "MUG" in Ocala as well. I have not been to that one, but all the MUGs I have been to are great.

Actually, we will be down there for the month of October...getting there Oct. 6th and not leaving until October 31st.

Hey guys,
This next month, (October), the third Tuesday is the 21st, and the 4th Wednesday is the next night, the 22nd.......will you guys be meeting those two nights in a row?
I'd like to come to your meeting, since we will be down there only from 10/6 to 10/31.
