Default need to replace an iphone

I have an iphone 4s that is giving me trouble. Verizon cannot fix it. Also took it to a wireless fix-it shop in Lady Lake and they could not fix it. Does anyone know where I can buy a refurbished model. Contract with Verizon not up and need to buy some time without spending $500 to $600 on new iphone

EBay. Search "iphone 4S Verizon", I did a quick search and there were dozens at various prices that were Verizon phones. You also should be able to sell your 4S that is not working. Just disclose the problem with the phone when you advertise it.

call Apple Customer service. They will quote you an out of warranty price for a replacement phone. My experience with them for example on an iPhone 5s that got drowned in the lake lake.....retail at Verizon $600++......replacement by Apple $259!!!!!!

They are usually very good at helping one find the best option.

Good luck.

Cool

BTK's advice is good...however, for an iPhone, I would drive to Orlando and visit the Apple Store. Make an appointment for the Genius Bar and they will take a look at your phone. If it can be repaired, they will give you a price. If not, they will most likely make you a good deal on a replacement phone. I had an iPhone go swimming and as BTK indicated, they replace mine for about $250, which is a lot better than $500+. They might even replace your 4S with a 5S or 5C.

The "rumor" is that Apple will announce the new iPhone on Sept. 9th. If this date can line up with your existing contract date and you can wait that long for the phone, you might want to keep that in mind. The newest iPhone 6 (if that's what it's eventually called) will be head and shoulders better than the 4S.

Lastly, you said it is giving you trouble. Tell us the trouble you are having and maybe someone here can help you fix it. There are lots of smart Apple folks listening...

Good Luck!

update on problem with iphone 4s: I can hear people when they call me but they cannot hear me?? Verizon store suggested that it was the microphone. Took phone to Repair Wireless in Lady Lake, they replaced microphone but that did not solve problem. Contract with Verizon up near future so any help would be appreciated
