Default Transfer book to Kindle

I wasn't paying attention when I bought a book on my Ipad. I don't want to read it on Ipad. Can I transfer it to my Kindle? If so, how?

Just go back to Amazon, and to manage Kindle, and pull the menu that say 'deliver to', and chooses the location you want the book sent to. You can send it to all your devices if you want.

It depends on the format. There are e-readers that you can download to the Kindle to read other formats. The process is not easy and the format of the downloaded books is not that great. I try to stay away from non-Kindle books for that reason.

Your Kindle has it's own eMail address. Do what this poster says, go to manage kindle and you will find the address. Then you can just eMail the book to your Kindle. The format must be mobi, not epub. If it is epub, you can download calibre (free download) and change the format to mobi.

But you don't say if you bought a kindle book or a book from apple for your ipad. If it's a kindle, yes you can send it to your kindle through Manage My Kindle at amazon.com. If it is an ipad book, I'm not sure you can transfer it to your kindle.

Yes you can but you have to convert it to MOBI using calibre or other app.

If you bought an iBook from the Apple Store I don't think you can read it on your Kindle. I love my iPad and all Apple products, however when I want to read a book I usually buy it from Amazon then I can read it on my Kindle or on my iPad with the Kindle App.

I believe you'll need to convert the book from "ePub" to "mobi" as previously mentioned.

Another way to do this is with online converters - one I have used with success, but never used it for this particular application, is zamzar.com.

You will have to upload your book from iTunes not from your iPad. Then download the converted file and send it to your Kindle.

Yes, make sure the file format is .mobi which is the Kindle format. If it is not, you can download a free version of CALIBRE, which changes the file to the format you desire.

With my Nook, I can email the file to myself, save it to my computer, then side load it from the computer to the Nook. I'm assuming you could do the same with your Kindle.

good luck.
