FIRST - I'm continually getting a message saying my century link has stopped responding. I wait for awhile then I am able to continue use the internet.
SECONDLY - I'm using my keyboard (I hunt and peck so I'm not looking at what I'm writing) and when I look at what I'm writing. the cursor moves to a different position in what I'm writing. Can anyone explain the cause for these two issues? |

I am going to guess that you are using a laptop. Here is what I think is happening, one of your thumbs is hitting the touch pad occasionally, and this moves the cursor. The fix is to go into the CONTROL PANEL, select MOUSE, then select the TOUCH PAD, then select SETTINGS, and then select DISABLE TAPPING. be sure to do this in the default settings also. I had the problem every time rebooted the computer, because it would not remember the default setting and kept turning tapping back on. Just upgraded to Windows 10, and problem GONE!!
As for the Century Link, I am going to assume that you are using Internet Explorer, I have the same problem occasionally. My wife's computer was so bad, she changed to another browser, I think she is using Chrome. Hope this helps.

I saw a report earlier that Comcast (I am also a user) has problems translating IPv4 the original Internet addressing protocol to IPv6 the new Internet protocol. The result is delays and dropped connections. I have seen this many times. most of the times hitting the refresh button 'fixes' the problem.

Villagetinker - It occurs on my desk top and laptop I'll try your fix. On another topic - you came from the wrong side of the state. From the Pittsburgh area here.
