Hi all:
A friend of mine has Apple TV for this. I know I can do it by putting the memory stick in my TV, but I have several memory sticks. I thought if I uploaded everything to the cloud then I could access them if I bought the Apple TV, but it is over $100. I don't mind making the purchase but want to make sure there isn't something better out there. Any suggestions? Not looking to cheap out on this but want something that does a great job. Thanks. I do have a smart TV. |

Google Chromcast can allow you to view your pictures, assuming you have a wifi network and a smartphone (which will act as the remote control). They are about $30 at walmart. I love my Apple TVs, but if that's all you're going to use it for its kinda overkill.

Just wanted to add, if you use iPhones, iPads or Mac computers (or even iTunes on a PC) you might find the extra cost of the Apple TV to be money well-spent. They just all play nicely together.

Thanks for the info Santa! I did some research and found that Amazon has a new one called Amazon Fire. It is the same price as the Apple TV and offers more. If you go to Amazon.com and search for it there is a comparison chart comparing the Fire along with the Apple TV and a couple of others. I probably would have been happy with either but the Amazon Fire offers access to Amazon Prime movies and I am a member of Amazon Prime and that would be great! Thanks again.
