Default Web Browser Rerouting

I am using Internet Explorer and I find it just randomly reroutes me every 3-4 times that I am going to a new window (on TOTV) or new window anywhere else too. I have Norton and it is not finding anything.

Desktop or laptop? The reason I ask, I have used laptops for the last several years, and I was having erratic operations, just like you describe. I finally realized the TAP function on the touch pad was on, and my thumbs were occasionally hitting the touch pad and depending on where the pointer was taking that action. Go to control panel, and select mouse, and then go to the settings for the touch pad, and turn of tapping.

Hope this helps.

It is a laptop and it is happening when my fingers are on the mouse and not on the touch pad. I did disable it but that hasn't made a change.

Where does it reroute you to? Another site? A blank page? Another place in the same site?

OP, one more thing, change the battery on your mouse ( I am assuming it is wireless), I had eradicate mouse operation due to low battery condition.
Hope this helps, as I am now out of ideas.

Some Malware will also cause redirection.... Don't forget to run not just the scans in Norton but the Power Erasure also. You might want to try "Malwarebytes Anti-Malware". It is a full working trail for 30 days and does a fairly good job.
Seems like everyone wants you to be redirected to their site.... worth a try... price is right too! Larry

I second LarryK. If it isn't a mouse/ keyboard malfunction, it is a virus. Norton is mainly for protection but it's scanning feature is lacking in so many ways. Run Malwarebytes and Super anti spyware and see if that solves your problem.
