If you have high speed internet at home you'll need to purchase a wireless router for her to to connect to. If she is in an area with an open Wifi connection she should be able to go to Settings- WiFi - Make sure wi-fi is turned on - under choose a network choose one that is not secured (will have a closed lock if it is secured).

If you have WIFI (wireless) at home you are all set.
The rec centers have WIFI all you need is your golf id and password to sit there and use it.
Starbucks has WIFI.
There are many other businesses that offer free WIFI.
Most of the home users have wisely locked up their WIFI connections.

Wireless routers are not that expensive. tigerdirect or newegg has them in the $39 to $89 range. I just bought a refurbished Linksys for $17 from them that works great.
