No, I have windows 10 and have no problem, but I get a pop up for Microsoft 11, and want to know if anyone has had experience with it?

I think that EDGE puts that pop-up out when you go to certain sites. I don't think that EDGE handles all site properly.

11 is the latest version of their browser [IE11]. 10 is the latest version of their operating system [Windows 10].

I use the Chrome browser made by Google so I don't know if IE11 is buggy. I would guess not.

Default restored back to windows 8 after 30 days.

Today I was into my laptop with windows 10 on it and found out that you cannot turn off auto download for updates. Went to the Microsoft site and read the same thing. I decided to take 10 off even though I was well past 30 days. I went and hit the restore feature and it put my laptop back into windows 8 with no problems. Only thing I had to do was put my wifi password in to connect again to the internet. I believe I was at week 6 or 7.

Actually EDGE is their new browser. It is pretty flaky. I use IE11 and FireFox under W10.

If you have 7 and haven't upgraded to 10 yet, here's a compatibility tool from MS to check your hardware and software b4 upgrading.

I've upgraded 3 laptops as soon as I was notified. No problems then or now.

The only reason that Microsoft has offered free upgrades from Windows 7/8 to 10 (for a limited time only) is so that they have a lot of people finding the errors and glitches for them.

It's a shame that their much-touted "easy to revert to your old version" isn't always quite so easy, once any damage has been done.

Can I suggest if you have to call Microsoft and you get a tech that you like (and can understand), that you make friends with them and ask if you can contact them should you have more issues. One thing I hate is when you have major issues and have to call in 10 times and you get 10 different reps. You have to tell your story from the beginning and alot of them will want you to do the same steps you have already tried 9 times before. If you stick with the same guy or girl, they will have an idea what they have already tried. I did this and have a great friend in India now.

Thought maybe I should update my laptop since it hadn't been turned on since August. There were a bunch of updates and took close to 2 hours to download and install. No issues with win 10 and everything went well. I guess I should do it more often

In India they speak english they just don't understand it. If its not on the flip chart they don't have an answer. IMO.

Thumbs down

After upgrading to Win10, I was not happy with it so I uninstalled Win10 back to Win7. Since that time ALL my office file were marked "read only" which I did set up a work around so they are usable. Also my laptop operates so slowly it is like back in the early 70s type computers.

I am seriously think about switching to a MacBook pro so as not having to deal with Microsoft ever again.
