Had this a couple of times. There are 4 springs or shock absorbers If one of them breaks or gets loose, the machine will "dance" unmercifully.A royal pain to turn machine on its side, and replace these. Technicians much more qualified to to this in 40 minutes,I would and can take you several days, provided you order the correct springs,

Thumbs up to Bob’s Appliance. He repaired the washer at a rental we were at in September 2024, $310

Since we had purchased the extended warranty, Lowe’s came out and replaced the springs. It was good for maybe 2 cycles. That was it. The vibration came back. It vibrated so badly it broke the lock switch a couple of times. After dealing with this for over a year, we got so fed up, we purchased a new one, though the #1 complaints with today’s washers seem to be this vibration problem. Ended up buying a new one at Appliance Direct. I hope I’m not jinxing it. It’s been 3 months now.It is soooo nice to have a quiet washer again. Anyhow, if you still want Lowe’s # it is 1-888-77-LOWES (56937).

Whatever your brand of appliance I.e. Samsung, GE, etc, bring up their corporate website. Somewhere on the website you will be able to do a search for certified repair locations by zip code for their appliance brand.

Balance rods is the problem. New rods can be purchased on Amazon about $40. If you are handy and physically able. YouTube will show you how. Or if machine is over10 years old, maybe think about new. Just get a basic, they last the longest.

If you call a repair guy it will cost you like $100 to have them come for a repair. and then typical wait around half a day assuming they keep the appointment. Instructions are on u tube. So me are very good. Unplug it. Protect whatever is below it-glass countertop stoves? Amazing, Amazon has the part. The she will kill me. I do not do marriage counseling. There is a reason why hearing goes as we get older. My repair, she found the screw I dropped and held the flashlight. Aside there are like 20 screws to take out. AND YOU TOLD ME TO BUY A NEW ONE-probably not wise. As said I do not do marriage counseling. |
