Default Adding Golf Cart Garage?

I am looking into adding a small garage on the side of my house for my golf carts. My one-car garage is not big enough for an SUV and 2 golf carts. Does anyone have a suggestion for a good contractor to get a quote from?

Be sure you check with the ARC review to see if you can do what you are planning is allowed. If you go to builder first, you might have some costs for them doing the research.

I am fairly new to The Villages. What is ARC and how do I get in touch with them?

They must approve almost any property modification in the Villages.

Thanks. If I get the approval, does anyone have a recommendation for someone to design and build the garage?

I do NOT have first hand experience, but I see T&D doing a lot of retrofit work around TV and I have seen lots of compliments on ToTV. You can get an estimate from them. I am watching them do a very large lanai project at one of my neighbors, and it looks like they know what they are doing. Sorry I did not have the ARC link handy, I see NJ beach bum provided it, thanks. Good luck with your addition.

On a side note, I went to the ARC office with my plot plans to discuss what I could and could not do, both with the house and the garden/landscaping. I was surprised at the restrictions on my lot, and my planned birdcage will be significantly smaller then originally planned due to the restrictions.

Johnny Mellado from SMI Construction, 352-504-2676, will give you a free estimate for that. He will be able to tell you if it is possible. Their company runs all permits and approvals for you.

Fortin Construction. They will not be the low bidder.
They offer excellent suggestions to make your wishes/dream/design more functional/practical.

Their workers are very competent and clean up as they go and at the end of every day.

When they are done it will not look like an "addition" but a part of the original house.

Better than most workmanship and quality.

Call Scott Bowling at T&D. He will be able to give you a free estimate and knows what can and cannot be done as far as the ARC is concerned.

Default Golf cart garage

T&D will be starting our golf cart garage and room addition this Wednesday. We deatl with Josh Yoder to start with and he and the company are very professional and knowledgeable.

They handled all the permits and submitting the plans to ARC for approval. We were turned down for putting a driveway or widening our walkway in the right of way. If you are in District 9 you can probably have it approved as the ARC does not rule on those areas yet.
