After Hurricane Katrina it was great having a window AC and a generator. We were able to get comfortable sleep for the 3 weeks we were without electricity.

And still no name of the company that started the problem that resulted in this thread. We Villagers would like to know so we can be wary of this company.

Last week our neighbor lost their A/C from lightening strike. Munn's there in 2 hours, A/C fixed a few hours after that.

I agree, if you are going to squawk (especially in such great detail), please give us all the facts. Otherwise it's just hot air!

Well I started the thread and yes I was unhappy . But I was trying to get people thinking about having a spare option available. The first night I was going w/o AC under any situation because every thing was frozen up.

In the end my unit was fixed by a competent technician and there was no cost as it was warranty.

I now have a 10,000 BTU spare AC avail for any future incident and I have shared that info with my neighbors.

All to often on TOTV , everyone wants to bad mouth a company and I was tempted but then everyone else jumps on the OP for naming a one time bad experience. And then list all the good attributes of the company.

So if you want to say it is hot air, do so. But blame yourself if you don't think ahead about the spare AC option.

Think have an alternative cooling source when you have a problem. Spare room AC, Friends bedroom , Motel. Not Munn's.
