Default adding insulation to cyv vaulted ceilings

am having my enclosed lanai insulated above it. insulation guy says I could do the areas above vaulted ceilings (which are in most rooms). has anyone done this? I have a CYV built in 2007. would really appreciate opinions on this....

Default not sure why you would need it

We have a CYV with vaulted ceilings in most rooms, built in 2006, have found our utility bills, both for heat and a/c, to be quite reasonable, and comfortable as well. We had an energy audit several years ago, and it found the insulation to be ok. We have gas heat, which I'm guessing you do too if yours was built in 2007.

Doesn't seem worth the trouble, except perhaps about the lanai, since you've enclosed it. But still it will likely feel cold on the really cold days and hot on the really hot days, I would think, unless it's getting a lot of sun and/or shade.

I would seriously like to know how your insulation guy would add insulation to the valted area of your CYV??

I am 98.876% sure it was built using a scissor truss which makes it virtually impossible (at anything resembling a reasonable cost) to retro fit additional insulation in that area ... as their is simply no room, way to access the area or needed dead space to add the insulation.
